Becoming and being an entrepreneur sounds so glamorous doesn’t it?
You get to work for yourself without some dumb boss telling you what to do and when to do it.
You get to work (oftentimes) when and how you want.
You get to make millions of dollars working from the beach…well maybe not that part but you get the point.
Sounds awesome right?
Well I can tell you that being an entrepreneur just isn’t for everyone!
Along with all those enticing things that entrepreneurship offers there also comes some harsh realities.
Everything from client generation to payroll is your responsibility. Its all up to you now!
One of the misconceptions out there is that you have to work for yourself (become a solopreneur or some sort of entrepreneur) or start your own company to ultimately find work that you love to do.
This misbelief leads plenty of people down the wrong path.
Finding the work that you love is made up of many different pieces and parts and determining whether or not to do your own thing is just one of the pieces of a bigger puzzle.
One of the first things to consider is whether or not you are even cut out to be an entrepreneur.
Being a entrepreneur is just one option but understand that it isn’t the only option.
One of the things we do in our coaching groups is to help you determine the best road for YOU to take.
Should you even consider being an entrepreneur or are you more aligned with being an intrapreneur or an awesome employee?
So what if being an entrepreneur just isn’t for you?
Look for great companies who are doing great things.
Find companies (big or small) that have a purpose, meaning or mission that resonates with you.
Learn all you can about them and then bring your skills and passion to them.
Being an entrepreneur isn’t the only way to find that work you love so if thats not the road for you then its time to get busy.
Be proactive and get out there and find these companies. Find the companies that you would LOVE to work for and your Dream Work could be closer than you think!
